This one also has a long-standing tradition. The Bockwurst is also known as Knackwurst and is very popular at most of the well-known German Beer fests. A stunner on the BBQ and an easy meal, just simmer for 10 minutes. The Bockwurst goes very well with a potato salad and mustard. There are approx. 10 sausages in a kilo.

My Christmas go to! I am bringing back my (East-) German tradition of having potato salad and bockwurst on Christmas eve. Can’t go wrong with these mildly flavoured sausage with a crunchy (knackig) bite into it. Great with Dijon mustard or even tomato sauce.
