Loved by Kiwis, visitors and expats alike, the Mueck family has been serving up gourmet German sausages, European smallgoods and cheeses in our Tauranga and Auckland stores for over 20 years. After emigrating Bernd & Michaela soon discovered that there was no one else with a comprehensive range of small goods and settled on opening in Tauranga on December 9th,1999.
As New Zealand’s largest manufacturer of German sausages, we’re proud to say that all our meat products are made by us in our own factory, using time-honoured techniques, traditional German recipes, and high-quality locally sourced ingredients. Our qualified German butchers call on over 100 years of sausage making knowledge and tradition, passed on and continuously perfected over three generations of expert sausage makers. 20 years later Bernd & Michaela are still involved in the day to day running but have passed on some responsibility to Robin & Alana Mueck in the Tauranga shop and the Albany shop is owned by adoptive Germans Damien and his wife to be Francesca.
